..is one of the most difficult, real and beautiful emotion to express, show and share.
Here is a portrait where I hope I was able to let it be.

As I find myself a bit nervous about tomorrow, I just remembered something that I believe is fondamental. I want to get rid of my own expectations: it will surely not be exactly what I have in mind and that’s why there is a chance that something might “happen“. I will aim for freedom. Both in my music and life.
As my old favorite writer André Gide says : “Dare to be yourself… it is better to be hated for what you are than to be loved for what you are not… one does not discover new lands without consenting to lose sight of the shore.”
Here is to daring being myself, freely.

As I’m about to perform for the first time Beethoven Emperor on Sunday, here are some words of one of my heroes:
“Music… can name the unnameable and communicate the unknowable.”

Happy (and tired) after an amazing recording of the Concert by Chausson with Daniel Hope and the Zürcher KammerOrchester at the legendary Teldex Studio in Berlin.
Merci Daniel, this moment will stay with me for a very long time.
